A Trio Of Tanks

I think I know why I don't post military MOCs very often. I know that accuracy is a huge factor with the military crowd, and not being very knowledgeable with the hardware, I have no idea what's good and what needs work. So I think I'm just going to say these tanks by ✠Andreas look really cool, and as far as I know, they're totally accurate. What I do know is they're built really well.

City Of Flames

The visual language of builder mihaimariusmihu is as compelling as it is haunting. His latest offering of Emperor Nero echoes the story of the great fire of Rome and the controversial Emperor. The use of all black was a risky choice, but it has paid off here. I'm certain this was a chore to photograph. I love the flow of the flames and the structures on the head. I really want to see this in person.

Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side
— Han Solo

Here at BrickNerd we like to look back from time to time, sometimes a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. The Imperial blaster (Blastech E-11) is one of my all-time favorite fantasy weapons. When I was a kid I had a really cool toy one (back before they started making them wacky colors) and spent many hours vanquishing imaginary Imperials. This version by Remi Gagne is awesome, and what's even more awesomer is you can build your own with instructions here (caution, it's a big file). Blast on readers!

Silver Blade

I know I don't feature Bionicle or Hero Factory often enough on the blog (or Technic, GBC, Military, SHIPS, Collaborations etc etc) but this MOC by Moko grabbed me by the pupils and throttled me. Check out the contouring and proportions on this guy! I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the pose-ability of this MOC since it's got ball and socket joints, but it's excellent.

Billund Airport

When I visited Billund in 2011 I was a bit shocked at the size of the airport. Billund itself is just a small, sleepy village in the middle of the countryside. If not for the presence of LEGO, you would hardly notice it from the air. This MOC by Everblack done in the Archtecture style is perfect. In fact, I'd dare say it could be packaged as-is and brought to market it's so good.
